Santa #655 has a lot of great texture!  He is the kind of carving you just like to examine.  From the stitching going up the trim of his Burgundy red coat, to the beautifully textured beard, the light reflects and the antiquing pops the detail.  You can feel the chisel marks where the tools glided through the wood.  No duplicating machine or resin mold can capture the true feel of a hand carved one of a kind piece of genuine folk art.   It is a joy to hold.

Chiseled from a 2" x 2" block of basswood,  this carving stands almost 10.25" tall.  Although you can't see it in the photograph, his hat hangs almost half the way down his back and is capped by a white pompom.  The picture does not do justice to his warm, soft, aged off-antique white beard and the great aging technique makes this hand carved Santa one you will cherish.
