Wine Barrel Carving Gallery #12

Hand Carved Wine Barrel Heads - Wine Art Gallery.
Dierdre & I had the pleasure of delivering this carving to Peaks of Otter Winery and meeting Nancy, Danny, their son Shannon and his wife. (Oh - and the dogs...) We had a great time! The farm is located in the Blue Ridge Moutains of Virginia and sits at the foot of the Peaks of Otter. It is truly a magnificent area. Nancy and Danny were wonderful hosts and you owe it to yourself to let Danny take you through a wine tasting. His crackers are stale and salt-less, but he'll keep you laughing as you enjoy their impressive array of fruit wines. I've never experienced this many variations of fruit wine - each better than the last. Dierdre highly recommends you try the "Kiss the Devil" Cooking Wine - don't let Danny try to talk you out of it...
Nancy - many thanks to you for asking me to create this work. Dierdre & I feel as though we've made some great new friends and appreciate all you and Danny did to make us feel at home during our visit!
Check out the Peaks of Otter Winery Website - along with www.JohnsonsOrchards.com and while you are visiting - stay on the farm at: www.ElmosRest.com
