Hand Carved Wine Barrel Heads - Wine Art Gallery.
This French Oak Barrel features the Cooperage brand surrounded by grapes and vines. One must assume the barrel was made from wood harvested in the Allier Forest, France. A brand stating the fact, although partially removed due to the design, is still legible.
The Wine Cellar Barrel Head was started at the 2005 Montpelier Wine Festival in Virginia, and continued at Columbia, MD's Wine In The Woods. Although Tom was originally going to stain the lettering to darken them, so many people expressed a love for the natural coloring that he decided to leave it that way.
