Grape Wreath Clock - French Oak, Napa Valley Barrel

This barrel head was Tom's very first wine barrel head carving.  It remains in his collection.  The head was French Oak and although hard, it carved smoothly.  The design was based on art by Lora Irish and Tom added the clock rather than a monogram.  At the upper right of the barrel was a bung hole.  Tom found an antique wine tap on an e-Bay auction and added it to complete the work.
