Wine Bottle Stoppers - Hand Carved & Turned Wood

Everyone prefers a different style of wine bottle stopper.  Some prefer a thick bottle stopper that can easily be gripped to remove it from the bottle.  Others prefer a medium diameter bottle stopper that is in proportion with the wine bottle.  Some like short wine bottle stoppers, others like tall, almost chess-piece like bottle stoppers.   You will find all shapes and sizes of bottle stoppers on our  wine bottle stoppers catalog pages.  We've even got hand carved Santa bottle stoppers for something really unique.  If you don't see something you like - e-mail us or keep checking back!

Segmented wood wine bottle stoppers are the perfect gift for any wine lover!  Our wine bottle stoppers are not painted or stained - they feature natural colors!  Using bits of lumber from other projects, Tom adds slices of exotic woods and creates glued blocks.  A hole is drilled and an oak dowel is glued into the block.  The dowel serves two purposes.  First, it is fastened into the lathe chuck to hold the wood as the bottle stopper is turned.  Second, the cork is fastened onto the dowel.  This means that your cork will not snap off.  If you've ever had a wine bottle stopper break you realize how annoying that can be.  We guarantee our wine bottle stopper corks won't snap off!

Remember, all of the colors you see on our wood bottle stoppers are natural - no stains are used.  Tom also uses no patterns - and since the woods are scraps, the segmented blocks are never the same.

The Barrel Stave Bottle Stopper Display Rack
As a wine barrel carver, Tom ends up with a lot of barrel staves.  As a result, he has found some creative uses for them.  One bottle stopper collector asked if Tom could make a display rack so he could proudly show his collection of wine bottle stoppers instead of tossing them in a drawer.  Thus - this rack was created.

The stave of a wine barrel is a perfect wine bottle stopper display rack!  The underside still features the dark stain of the wine and the oak offers its handsome strength drawing your eye to the display.  Our current display racks offer room for five wine bottle stoppers.

The Oak Wine Bottle Stopper Display Rack

The oak rack is very similar to the rack above, except it uses a piece of red oak wood instead of a barrel stave.  The look is similar to the barrel stave rack and provides a nice elegant display for the collector.  These racks are not considered a stock item - but your rack will ship within two weeks of ordering.  If you are in a hurry, please e-mail before placing your order to see if we can accommodate your schedule.

Our two tier racks feature a wide oak base with solid oak doweling raising the racks to height.
