Is Santa Shy?

When I look at this Santa, he almost looks like it's the first time he's met Mrs. Claus.  There she is, standing under the mistletoe, and poor Santa is a bit nervous.  He's got the cutest expression and he's not quite sure what to do with his hands.  He's shy!

His Christmas Red coat is a change from the dark burgundy or wine colors Tom usually adorns his Santa carvings in.  The facets of the carving make him a delight to run your fingers over as you imagine the chisel cuts used in his creation.

Is Santa Shy? was carved from a 2.25" x 1.75" block of basswood and stands about 8" in height.
