Each hand turned cherry wood whistle is unique, each with it's own tone. (Because they are hand crafted and no patterns are used - this is a guarantee!)
Every whistle comes with a ribbon and poem/explanation so it may hang on the tree. We even carve your child's name on the whistle to create a truly one-of-a-kind, personalized holiday ornament.
On Christmas eve, before your child goes to bed, the whistle is blown once - just to let the reindeer know it is bed time! Now it will be safe to bring Santa to your home! Don't worry - the whistles aren't very loud because reindeer have incredible hearing! This whistle/ornament will become a favorite tradition that children and parents can enjoy year after year.
Note: Whistles are hand crafted from solid cherry wood. Oak or birch dowel may be used to create the "reed" for the mouthpiece. All whistles are finished in food safe, non-toxic mineral oil so they are safe for children. Reindeer Whistles are not sold as toys! Parental supervision should be used when the child blows the whistle - only on Christmas eve before bedtime...after all, you don't want reindeer landing on your house all the time!

We recently discovered a "crafter discussion forum" that had found the reindeer whistle on our site. These "crafters" were discussing their own ideas to copy our product using cheap wholesale slide whistles, painting names on and writing their own poems.
The Reindeer Whistle was originated by Tom. We have trademarked and copyrighted this item. Although financially it is not worth pursuing these "crafters", they were notified of our legal rights to the Reindeer Whistle. Tom informed them that making a gift for a relative was one thing - to blatantly steal the concept and sell it for profit was another. Tom also added that if the item was sold, the money should directly benefit a charity organization. In this way they can help a legitimate cause by donating their current stock of whistles.
